We just sent payment for another three table top carders from Golden Fleece Carder’s in the Netherlands. We are their only sales representative-Partner here in the United States, so everyone has to come to us for them. We have also busted the monopoly that Howard Brush had on carding cloth for blending boards and carding machines for so long. We now have a carding cloth available in 12” x 12” squares of 72 TPI in a double tine design which is of superior design for all fibers, working great on Wool, alpaca and Angora rabbit. Our prices are better…and the fiber processing tools, consisting of the table-top carding/blending board, the 12” square carding cloths and a hand held blending brush for carding machines and blending boards are all available on our web site. http://www.cluckinacritterfarm.com/cluckin_a_critter_farm,_llc_020.htm

On the previous page… http://www.cluckinacritterfarm.com/cluckin_a_critter_farm,_llc_019.htm You can find all of our other fiber tools that I make here on the farm, available by shopping cart, payable by credit card or Pay-Pal.
We have this advertised all over Facebook too…and on a fiber tools page and fiber equipment page…which seems to work, because we are selling this stuff like hotcakes….

Tomorrow I am going to start on the check-out counter in the fiber shop. It will remove the pain-in-the-butt cabinet sitting in the middle of the floor, taking up space and giving nothing in return. The new counter will be built in the corner, with a wrapping area with storage underneath fro bags and such. The counter top is nice and old looking….thick and possessing a nice patina. I will build shelves in the front where customers stand and on those shelves we will rank our honey and maple syrup, etc., etc. This will make very good use of the space required to build this and free up shelf space where the honey and maple syrup is now displayed. We will be able to stand behind the counter and out of the way. Now we have our back to everything as we write up sales slips which is terrible.

Today we made the trip to Bennington, VT to have our first scheduled car service under the warranty. We were there at 11:00 and shortly after that, we were on the road to Whitman's feed store, where we buy a huge ten pound bag of dog biscuits (loose in big balk boxes) every time we go by there on our way to Cambridge, NY.
We run through White Creek and get onto route 22 where we headed to the Burger Den near Jackson. We met our friend Marie there for lunch and then the three of us went to Faerydale Consignments in Salem, NY to see Robyn and her new consignment items since the last time up there.
The trip to Washington county is never complete if we can't get to all of our favorite stops, but the car appointment spoiled that for us today and we were lucky to take Marie to Garden Works, because she has never been there. After that stop, we had ice cream at the Battenkill Creamery and took Marie back to her car at the Burger Den. We missed stopping at Deluge Designs to see our friend Pam and I always stop in to see Jack at "Jack's Outback Antiques", but it was past closing time for both, so we had an incomplete day and headed home.
Recently we became the first and only fiber tool dealer in the United States to partner with Golden Fleece Carders, a new and upcoming business in the Netherlands. We picked up their line of carding clothes and fiber processing tools… including their latest creation known as a combination carding and blending board. It is a table mounted version with nice slide rods with Teflon locks allowing the user to select the angle most comfortable for them to use the carder/blending board. It has a 72 T.P.I. carding cloth on a curved surface which will allow you to comfortably use your carding paddle to card fiber right onto the double tined surface. Once carded, you can begin the blending process using different colored fiber previously carded onto the fiber just carded. Roll the bat off with two dowel sticks to make bats or rolags. It is the newest and nicest fiber tool I’ve seen developed in some time and sells exclusively through Watt Heritage™ Fiber Tools here in the U.S. Take a moment and go to our site and look around at this tool and all the others we make and sell there… http://www.cluckinacritterfarm.com/cluckin_a_critter_farm,_llc_003.htm

So yesterday we went to Vick’s acupuncture appointment in Delmar, where I usually sit in the car and read my Kindle or snooze until she is finished, but we arranged for Gia to stop by while in the area today and pick up her umbrella swift that I repaired for her, along with three replacement pins I made for her loom. I gave her all the items I had for her and she gave me a box full of pieces that assembled…used to be a cute little Scottish spinning wheel, which I believe was a functioning child’s model wheel. These child sized spinning wheels were made to help teach young girls how to spin fiber into yarn and when they became good enough, they graduated to a full sized spinning wheels where they helped Mom produce yarns for the families knitted or woven garments that clothed them back then. In those days kid’s toys were fashioned after full sized tools that would be used in the everyday life of every man and woman.
Once I am a little further along on the maple wheel for Debbie, complete the Canadian production wheel for Barbara and get a start on the double flyer machine of here, I’ll start repairing Gia’s little Gem…or if I have a little idle time with the other two…It should really be cute when finished. It obviously had a really rough life after viewing the many Band-Aid patches administered to it over the years. There are some patches, wired and tied, glued fixes that finally caught up to it and it collapsed in a heap.
It could become costly…but cute. Here is the pile of “rubble” Gia gave me…let’s see what we can make out of it with a little time and elbow grease.
Today was lost to being up until 4 AM this morning working on fiber tools, and Vick on her art…and later, driving down to get fuel from the gas station in Durham.
I installed my vent invention on both fuel cans to do away with the brainy idea of trying to get fuel out of a can that has air going up the hole fuel is trying to come out of. STUPIDITY. It sure seems like we are great at creating stupid stuff these days. All fuel cans have had vent opening removed so they don’t spill fuel all over the place. They count on fuel flowing out and air flowing past it going into the can…therefore eliminating drips and spillage. In all my years of using gas cans, I’ve never spilled or slopped as much fuel as I do now with the cans supposedly designed to keep that from happening. Engineering is a noble trade that breeds paper smart idiots!
Another case in point….traffic lights! ALL DESIGNED BY ENGINEERING IDIOTS! Who else would design a device to stop twelve cars to allow one car to pull out of a side road as soon as they approach the traffic light? Forget that they could pull out twenty times, safely between cars just like a stop sign works…but no…as they get close to the light it must change. IDIOTS… especially when the car hits the intersection and right turns immediately and after he is three hundred yards down the road, the light changes and stops everyone else for a minute with no car pulling out now.
Jeeze Um, I guess I need more sleep to be less grouchy, but don’t be stupid. There’s no excuse for it!
Tomorrow is another day…I need rest now…

I spent another blistering cold day outside cleaning barns and chicken houses. It was a nice day by almost everyone’s standards…that is unless you’re outside in 22° temperatures with a 34 MPH wind, equating to -18° out there…That makes it really hard to keep from freezing to the tractor seat. Josh doesn’t seem to mind…but he is young, shoveling and moving in and out of the building. I am OLD, stationary and have think blood in this 64 year old body! If my kids and grandkids called me pop…I could have said that I was definitely a “popsicle” today!!!
This morning before Josh came…I worked in the basement on the obtuse multi-angled blocks for the leg jig-fixture for the spinning wheels. I cut five blocks…all wrong, so I quit. I figured to get a cup of coffee and return to begin afresh afterward…It was not to be though, because Vick texted me and informed me that a serviceman was coming to our neighbors house to repair the furnace and I had to leave them in. (It is a weekend home and our neighbors live in Howard Beach) I agreed to keep an eye on their place to make sure the furnace didn’t quit and allow everything inside to freeze during the winter. Last evening, I found the furnace would not stay running for more than three minutes and then shut off and it was getting cold in there. The temperatures outside were falling, so we called Tony and he said he would call the repair people first thing in the morning. He did. After the repairs, I had lunch and it was time to greet Josh for cleaning, so that was my day.
Tomorrow if it is not so blasted windy…I have an oxy/acetylene job, welding a spinning wheel mandrel where I removed 3/8” of material to make it fit the wheel properly.
I also have some corn husks to braid into accelerator head bearings to finish up another project before going back to the spinning wheel production job.
Tonight my feet, calves, knees and wrists ache with the coming rain or snow on Friday. This is par for the course…my having severe pain at the end of the day when I’m tired and worn out.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day…better…I hope too…
Yes, we are evolving each and every year we are here, trying to make this a self sufficient farm. If we can get to where the farm is capable of paying for itself…in the way of animal feed and supplies, we’ll be happy. We expect to pay for a lot of the things needed on the farm…just not every nut and bolt, bag of feed and hay.
We have begun working on some additional summer programs where Vick is doing a scheduled spinners weekend where people come here to be in and around the animals, to see how fiber is harvested, how it is washed, dried and prepared for dying, how it is dyed and then carded into bats or rolags for spinning and finally how to spin it into yarn on a drop spindle, Mayan spinner and finally a spinning wheel.
We will offer some kind of painting program and Vick is already giving stained glass classes, both beginner and advanced. I am making and selling spinning wheels and all kinds of fiber tools. I also do any and all repair work to spinning wheels and walking wheels for people needing repairs.
We are now in the process of looking into a business relationship with a company as a distributor for them. Oh wow…Lake Erie is 94% frozen over again and with the frigid temperatures predicted for the near future…it will probably freeze over completely. The total ice cover on the entire Great Lakes is now rated at 82.3 percent as of Tuesday. On the same date last year, the Great Lakes had 81.6 percent total ice cover. The recent arctic blasts have caused the ice cover on the Great Lakes to increase rapidly and the water temperature is presently at 32° and with the temperatures plummeting in the next few weeks, will fall even lower. That drop in temperature will ensure the finishing touch to freezing everything over. I think the last time that Lake Erie has frozen solid was back in 1996. There are sketchy records that tell us that once in history, all five of the Great Lakes were possibly frozen over. That was around 1877 and 1878, but the records aren't clearly stating that beyond question.
The only thing I know is that the lakes now are freezing at a faster rate than last year and if the weather hold like it has been, they WILL be frozen solid by March (or maybe mid-March).
That means that spring will be lost as it almost was last year…with winter simply blending into summer. That again equates to a chilly summer, where air conditioning will not be needed in upstate New York…just like last year.
Be ready to sit at your Fourth of July picnic table in a snowsuit!
One of our outside hydrants is not working eight now…and I can’t tell if it is frozen or broken. The last time I used it, the hydrant functioned normally, so I have no idea what occurred. If it has frozen, it will thaw when warmer weather comes, if not…I have a backhoe attachment for my tractor and it will be my first spring project. (Let’s start stacking up a list of crap to do already…) In the mean time, we are carrying water and trying to keep our heads above water err….snow as we do so.
Other than that, everything on the farm is about as normal as any other winter since we’ve been here and better than some we’ve endured. We have only lost a few geriatric chickens that could not fend off the winter’s cold, even with the heat lamps we provide in every area. The coldest days are when you can expect to lose animals that are no longer hearty and robust…usually aged birds.
Soon the temperatures will break, but not soon enough I fear. Spring is definitely coming…and is officially only 28 days, 9 hours and 35 minutes away from NOW…(Friday, February 20, 2015 at 9:11 AM)
Let’s hope for the best and quickest relief from this deep freeze of winter 2015!!

The animals certainly don’t. That summer, the ice maker quite working…they came and fixed it. In less than two more years, it froze up again. They came and fixed it. Now it freezes almond milk, but not the regular milk sitting beside the almond milk. They are coming this week to fix it AGAIN. It is not a TV, stereo, radio or CD player; not an electronic item like Samsung is known for…it is a refrigerator…an appliance. Sooooo, don’t go to a lemon orchard to buy a horse! You’ll only get a lemon!!! For the price of this refrigerator you should not have troubles for a couple decades. I went to feed and water the animals, but before I got to the barn, I noticed the sun was out and the skies blue and clearing, so I decided to cut everyone loose for the day. The temperature began moderating and it turned into a good day for the animals to be out for a change.

We had a visit from a lady down the road and her son and grandson from the city. They toured the farm, looking at the animals and took some pictures and then checked out the fiber store, bought some goodies and talked awhile.

After they headed back home, I no more than got to the house and we received another phone call from people wanting to tour the farm, seeing the animals and then shop in the fiber store.

Even with icy, snowy conditions, you never know when folks will want to come and visit the farm. People love seeing the animals and being able to touch them. All too often their visits tend to jar us from the complacency we fall into by taking our everyday lives for granted. What we have every day, many people pay to see and wait long periods of time before they can achieve the thrill of being around these animals.

I hate the snow round about this time of the year…every year…especially the older I get, but the snow continues to cometh and the sun taketh away. The holidays are over and I have no more need for a white covering on the ground, so the sun can’t possibly remove the snow fast enough to suit me. I do realize we need snow for the water tables heading into the spring, but still…I hate the snow. Having a small coating of snow is nice if the temperatures drop sharply, because it protects the ground from really freezing deeply. That always causes havoc with pipes, spring thaws and extends the mud season way beyond where it should last.

Two days ago the national weather service was issuing a winter storm warning for the eastern seaboard. It still stands for them, but looks as though it will bypass us for sure.

Yes…we may have dodged the bullet this time with snow, but the cold remains…In fact, it is going to be cold here forever.

Well…maybe not forever, but I predict another dive from winter into summer, because I also predict the Great Lakes will ALL freeze over again (similar to last year) which will insure a really brisk spring, into summer again. As it stands now, I think the Great Lakes are already frozen over more than usual already…and the rest of January is to be far below regular temperature readings for this time of year. With Lake Erie being about 90% frozen already, this will ensure that spring jet streams crossing the Great Lakes later in spring will drop in temperature due to flowing across the frozen lakes…just like temperatures did last year. Thus…it will seem as though it goes from winter, directly into summer without a spring season again. Actually, I believe this is nothing new, because Vick says years ago, when she was just a young girl spending the summers here, they never had a need for air conditioning in the summer; it was always cool in the daytime and cold at night. I believe weather runs in cycles because I remember the same things in Pennsylvania in the late fifties and sixties. I also remember three foot winter snows as a normal thing back then…with extremely cold temperatures.

Well…like I said, if looks could kill…it looks as if the winter weekend for us was killed in its tracks and we’ll only have the low thirties temperatures to deal with…Not SNOW!!

Tomorrow morning, Vick and I will hook up the trailer and head to the quarry for some stone chips. The driveway is a glaze sheet of ice, causing the fiber store to remain closed and curb service for egg customers. I don’t want people trying to get out of their cars to come to the house for eggs, so I meet them at the car and tell them I will deliver eggs to them in their cars. A small drive, $15.00 and a shovel will resolve the driveway issue. Vick can slowly circle the driveway with me in the back of the trailer, shoveling gravel onto the icy driveway like they used to do when cindering the roads in my childhood. This was before the fancy spreader they have now, but it worked back then…and it will work for us tomorrow. We can then open the fiber shop again after that.

The convection blower snap disc arrived this afternoon in the mail and I installed it this evening to begin the test to see what is actually going on with the pellet stove, which has been down all weekend long…actually since last Wednesday when I shut it down after the convection motor shut down during the regular function of the stove. The burner was burning perfectly…and the exhaust blower was functioning normally when I noticed that the convection blower had shut down. That should not happen until the stove shuts off and cools to 90 degrees. After I shut the auger off, stopping the fuel supply to the burner pot, the fire went out. Within three minutes, the convection blower restarted and began blowing heat out until the stove reached 90 degrees. THAT…should not have happened. As long as the heat in the stove was over 90 degrees, that convection blower should have been running…the very reason I shut the stove off…because it was NOT running. It should not start and stop such as that. I never saw one do that before, so I assumed it was a bad snap disc, so I ordered one. I then began thinking about that and also decided that a motor overload would do the same thing…and reset when the heat stopped, allowing the motor to restart and run until it cooled the stove to 90 degrees.

Now what?…I thought. I installed a flex tube over the motor and directed the cooling air to the motor from the outside of the insert compartment, insuring only cool air flowing across that motor, which would keep it from shutting down due to a heat issue. I also bugged two test leads to allow it to run outside the insert in case it does shut down again. I can then test for voltage to the motor which will indicate a motor shutdown for overload/temperature if voltage is present on the test wires and the motor fails to run. If there is no voltage there, then it’s something else in the circuit. (All this saves me from removing and replacing motors over and over again until I find the problem. So far, everything is working okay. We’re still hoping for the best, with no more problems.

Maybe now I can get back into the basement to work on fiber tools again. (As soon as I feel better, that is). Right now, I think I’m just happy to sit in front of the pellet stove for awhile.

In the last two days, I have felt as out of place as a summer flower in the winter, that’s for sure! I have a sinus drip that keeps irritating my throat, causing me to cough terribly…sometimes without warning. I cannot sleep, because as soon as I fall asleep, the drip occurs and I choke and cough. I have an ulcer on my tongue and one in my lip that is irritated with everything I choose to eat. Some foods make it larger and more inflamed as if there were an air pump hooked to a balloon…like immediately. I have used a Nettie pot with the purchased saline solution and it’s the only thing that helps. If any of you reading this are afflicted with these nasty sinus issues (as I hear many people are right now), try the Nettie pot. It helps to flush your sinuses and helps to kill any bacteria, reducing the time your allergies may last.

I am now caught up with my fiber tools orders since shipping out the accelerator head to Pittsburgh, so I am working on more fiber combs and table mounts for the fiber store stock so I have them when orders come in. I am ready to design and spec my castle wheel next, as long as I don’t have a new customer order come in. If an order comes in, it takes priority over stock pieces and definitely new design and manufacturing. The biggest problem right now is that when I have time to get into the basement shop, I don’t feel like doing it. I would rather sit on the couch with my eyes closed, and remain still until this crap is done and over with. You need to rest somehow, because with the coughing all night long, you certainly don’t sleep more than a few minutes at a time…if at all. I was so tired this afternoon that I did slip off to sleep while Vick was doing a stained glass class in the basement and everything was quiet. Even with my occasional cough, I must have slept at least a solid hour, but had to get up and go out to feed and water the animals and birds for the evening. That was a miserable 45 minutes until I was finished and closed the fiber store. Now I’m done for the night and will try to relax until bed time. I am sleeping downstairs in the guest room so my coughing won’t keep Vick up all night long. It will only be until the cough subsides and it’s been the better part of five days already.
I bet the wind chill factor is still below zero. It’s cold enough that none of the animals are going out today. I will stuff their food containers and water buckets to the top and they can ride this crap out inside. Rosie and Boo have been under the heat lamps all morning long…since I got up.

I think after I replace the corn husk bearings on the great wheel, I’ll brew up some chicory coffee if there is any left. I haven’t been to the trading post in quite awhile, so I’m hoping for the best. When I replace those bearings, Vick can go back to spinning wool again from our sheep, I might repair the rotted stave on the watering bucket and replace the hemp rope bail handle. After that, I’ll make sure the musket is loaded and behind the door in case Vick needs to use it quickly…and I’ll go out to see if I can stalk close enough to get a big buck for the winter meat cache…that is if I can make it down through the slough without stirring up the Indians that are usually hunting in the same bottom of that particular hollow. If I am lucky enough to see that ol' buck and can knock him down with one shot, I’ll take off for home before those red heathens can locate where the shot came from and make it a race back to the safety of the cabin. Better this way...without a skirmish. Also, the odds of them finding my deer and taking it will be much less, for they would surely find me and the deer if I stayed there to clean the deer. I will go back and get the deer in the darkness, when I can pick it up and get home without the redskins finding or following me. This evening I’ll work on the spindles for the small Saxony wheel I’m making for Vick so she can work faster and create more yarn quicker, making it easier for her to weave material to make my shirts, pants and her dresses and bonnets, after I clean and take care of the deer if I get one. I bet the kettle is hanging from the fireplace right now with a bunch of stew, so I’ll speed up my steps as I go on with my chores and get out there to find my deer.

All too soon it will be dark and I’ll bring my deer in to skin and store it, while Vick cards more wool and continues to spin yarn on that old walking wheel. As she spins, I'll work on making the new spinning wheel for her. When we’re tired, I’ll fix the fire and we’ll blow out the candles and bunk down until daybreak, when we’ll do it all over again.

Ahhhh……and we complain about doing things we need to do today. It’s a simple thing to cook on a gas stove, rather than building a fire and feeding it wood. We just throw the handle on the hydrant in the barn for water, rather than chip a hole in the ice on the creek. Then we feed the guys from containers and bales of hay…rather than go to a corn crib or loft for shocks of hey and corn fodder. We do the everyday chores around here without watching over our shoulder for danger and use all the conveniences that make our lives so much easier than our forefathers… and when we spin and create our spun and woven clothing, it’s a hobby or maybe just a joyful thing to do to revert back a little to the way it was long ago…only with less stress and danger. Little chance Vick or I will be scalped this evening. Still, we strive to do, use and eat things we know are safe, chemical free and healthy…things that are good for our bodies as it was back in the days of the early frontier. We do it to live much longer, safer and healthier than they did, yet if not killed…some of them lived longer than we do now.

Good food, hard work and less stress…that’s what we strive for everyday here on the farm and try to pass on to our friends about us, with our farm goods, fiber tools, fiber and yarns…
New Years is such a suckie holiday when people spend un-necessary money and cost taxpayers excessive costs with cleanup such as above...all through New York City the day after, when everyone who was there looks like the picture below and they are usually broke…What is wrong with people?

Now what? The Holidays are over. Now we head into the long, cold, miserable winter. YUK!!! I’m just full of freakin’ New Year Happiness aren't I? Oh well…that’s me, get used to it...

Today I spent the morning lounging around for a little while, and then went to the barn to say "Happy New Year" to all the animals awaiting their morning hay and pellets. Hmm, speaking of pellets, I decided I needed to resolve the pellet stove dilemma until the guy calls tomorrow and sends me a new motor. It’s too cold to not have the stove running, even if it is limping along on its last breath.

I finished the animals, let some of them out and headed for the house and the coffee pot.

I started to tear the stove apart even further than I had before, removing the exhauster motor too. It was getting tight and squeaking a little, indicating that it needed oiled or something to keep breathing too. The stupid company that manufactured the blower installed the motor upside down, placing the oil ports on the underside. I can tell you positively, that I have never seen oil run uphill on anything! I removed the motor and turned it 180°, moving the oil ports to the top, oiled it well and reinstalled it in the stove.

I stopped to close the animals in at dusk, as usual…and after feeding and watering, stopped for dinner. We had pork and Sauerkraut with Kielbasa and mashed potatoes. That was more delicious than the fancy dinner we had for New Year’s Eve at the restaurant down the road…and a fraction of the cost. After dinner, I cleaned everything else on the pellet stove and redid the oilers on the convection motor and reinstalled it too. I then put everything back together and restarted the stove. We now have a quiet operation and HEAT!!
And I thought I would relax for New Years Day. Ha,ha,ha,ha…RIGHT!

This morning I got up with the intensions of going to the basement and working on fiber tools…with a cup of coffee in hand…FINALLY...being able to comfortably and peacefully work without tension, because I was all caught up elsewhere on the farm. All I needed to do was stop at a reasonable time and leave the animals out (if the temperature moderated a little when the sun was up)

When I came down the steps, into the living room, it was immediately evident that that was NOT going to happen and today would start like every other lousy day for me…

Forget New Years Eve being the fun, relaxing day I was anticipating, leading up to a nice dinner with friends this evening…close to home of course, with an early return home to beat the drunks driving.

Nooooooooo…forget that idea pal…Having no mercy on me, I was very immediately greeted by the sickening smell of super-heated metal, indicating a problem with the pellet stove. AGAIN!

Upon checking for the cause, I found the convection motor was not running AGAIN…This motor is only a few months old, as I replaced the old one back in November because the bearings were bad. Now it has stopped again for some reason, on the coldest day of the year and New Years Eve to boot! Oh well, maybe no one should have a free moment to themselves to enjoy the day doing something you would like.

It’s a fairly simply system…so I cannot imagine why a new motor failed to operate properly for the years one would expect it to. I’ll make a complete mess of the living room by extracting the insert out of the fireplace opening, tearing the stupid thing apart and seeing what I can do to get it fixed and running again. Now that you all know what I will be doing shortly…and for the rest of the day…you all have a very safe and Happy New Year…

Well…It’s 21° out there, I need to work on that pellet stove!!

Morning everybody! I say morning because it isn’t the nicest morning by any means, with looming clouds causing severe darkness…enough so that the outside night lights came back on. It will surely rain…and rain hard the way it looks, but we are alive, so I guess that actually makes it a good morning. So, I retract my first statement and replace it with: Good morning everyone!

Soon some folks will be awaiting the drop of the ball at Time Square in New York City…others will be crowded around their televisions to watch it. Some people will not care except to get either a little tipsy with booze and some will become comatose with alcohol. What a way to start a New Year or usher out the old one, by being an ass around your friends, or any other number of things you could become, from making yourself a loud mouthed nuisance, all the way down the scale to the bottom dwellers like vehicular murderers.
Vick and I will enjoy an early dinner with some friends at a local restaurant…closest to home…and leave the restaurant with the same blood alcohol level we went in with, being home and nestled in by eight PM at the latest…long before the drunks start mixing with innocent victims whose lives will be changed forever due to their meeting. No thank you…we’ll stay home, relax and enjoy our life without the partying and booze. I'm not a prude, or against drinking, but if we have a drink for New Years...it will be here at home when we don't have to drive anywhere...not at a bar when we have to drive home.
For all those of you who do enjoy meeting and having a good time with friends into the wee hours of the morning after the ball drops…here’s wishing you a safe, prosperous and happy New Year!
(And no hangover on New Year’s Day)
This Christmas Eve will mean so much more to you if you take a few minutes to thank God for everything we still have and ask his blessings on what is left of this world. I’m sure that as our maker, Father and Lord of all living beings…he is sometimes quite disappointed in us as humans created in his image. It matters not if you are Jewish, Hindu, Christian, Native American or any of the other approximate 313 religions and denominations in the United States…you are worshiping the same God! I fail to see any reason for fighting and killing over believing in the same God. Take a few minutes today and this evening to rejoice in our God and the reason for this season. We’re all in this world together. Peace and good will to all my neighbors around the world and God bless this Christmas Eve.
Include a special prayer for all the sick and ailing people, those in the southern storm area of last evening and all poor, hungry and homeless people everywhere.
Merry Christmas…..
