January 4th, 2012... All’s Sick That Are Sick...And That Is The Condition...

Wonderful.... wonderful, just how wonderful it is to be sick during and after the holidays. Vick and I have spent the last week feeling lousy, while nursing a cold and sinus crap we got shortly after Christmas, but before New Years. I immediately jumped on a z-pack regiment and knocked it out of me quickly, but Vick has nurtured a sinus drip, cough and headache since before New Years. She seemed to improve daily, but it is a long row to hoe when you have other things you would rather be doing and now it looks like it is going to develop into a full blown cold.Yesterday she was doing a little better and we dove into the old duck and chicken barn to clean it out and place new wood chips down for the birds. We are getting our friend’s ducks for the next four months while they are in Vegas for the winter. We agreed to “duck sit” for them since we have the brooding house sitting empty all winter long. We figure taking care of their ducks will allow them to relax, knowing we have sixty five ducks of our own which makes us perfect baby sitters and we’ll take our fee in meals at their restaurant when they return in April.Doing that will benefit us both, without money being involved, making it more friend oriented.I made another yarn swift, which I am putting on an eBay auction for sale. The starting bid will be $85.00, bit I don't know what the shipping will be just yet. I need to work that out today and then I will list it on eBay.I will also begin making fiber combs individually and by the set soon. I need to do a little cleaning and re-arranging in the basement first, but that will occur soon. The pictures of the yarn swift is below and will be a regular offering on eBay and will be available for sale on our website too. Just go to the left and click on
