Just as Bachman-Turner Overdrive says it,
And I'll be...
Taking care of business every day...
Taking care of business every way...
I've been taking care of business, it's all mine...
Taking care of business and working overtime...
Work out!

Both Vicki and I are sore this evening, after putting the deck boards down. You either crawl on your knees or you bend over to put the boards down, both of which kills either your back or your knees. Tomorrow, we will install the 4x4 posts, the header boards and the two outer rafters and possibly two toward the center. After that, we will cut the rest of the rafters to length and try to install them all, then the tie rafters and supports inside, because after that we can start installing the board and batten. Once they're on, we can empty the tractor shed of the doors and windows by placing them into the building where they belong and closing everything up for the winter, then we can work inside. We're back on track and running in high gear again, so we'll get this puppy finished soon. We'll take one day in the near future and frame out a turkey house, which will be a one day project. They will really like having their own turkey house and getting away from all those chickens. Anything should beat having chickens running all over you at night when you're trying to sleep. The turkeys nest down and tuck their heads and sleep until morning without moving. Chickens, on the other hand, are never still and will roost above you and crap all over you continuously, all night long. (Of course, turkeys can fill a fifty-five gallon can full of poop during the night too, just not on each other like chickens usually)
We had a really nice dinner at Hollowbrook Restaurant and Winery, a really quaint, New England looking B&B resort, just down the road from us. We had a cheese pizza that was really delicious and they deliver. (we need to remember that)
I asked about a possibility of offering my poetry book there on consignment, and the sister of the owner said she would look at it and call me tomorrow. The restaurant has lovely decorations, wine, jams and pastries offered for sale, so I thought a few of my books beside the wine would be appropriate and classy. We'll see tomorrow when she calls.

These were the neatest lag bolts made...

I can picture the ice cream tables now... and folks sitting there eating their ice cream...
