As I told Helen yesterday in the comments section, I'm done complaining about getting old and slowing down. I'm gonna rise each day and make the most of it from now on. Most people say we accomplish more than any five people our age, so in light of that statement, then we are truly blessed (which we already knew and stated many times over)
We are heading to Glenmont today so I can pick up my stylus pad, graphics tablet at Staples. I have a lot of graphic design work to perform for the farm and we've decided it is time to purchase the pad to do it. I will immediately finish the drawings for the instruction sheets for the felted animal kits we want to get put together for the open air farmers markets and craft fairs this summer. We've decided we need to market some of our creations to help pay the feed bill that is slightly higher then the egg sales provided so far, so Vick had HQ prints made by "Visual Winds" in Schenectady and we just put them into Lynda Witt's antique barn. The name of her establishment is Witt's End and as soon as Vick placed the prints for sale, she sold two of them immediately before we left! I really believe she will do well, because she is selling them for a mere $15.00 each. They are on foam board in a plastic cover, ready to frame.
Vick needs some good garden soil for planting the heliotropes we just got yesterday in Altamont and we'll plant the several trees we now have sitting around in pots.
Oh yeah, we need to get to the sign maker and pick up our signs he has completed for us. That is a hop, skip and a jump in the other direction, but we need to get them.
We got the nails yesterday, needed to start the porch ceiling on the gift shop, so we'll dive into that somewhere along the line if we get time....and I almost have the pool under control now. One more scooping session and I'll hook up the vacuum and give it the final scrubbing, treat it with shock again and we'll be ready for swimming season again. We have a few pictures of yesterday's ventures and some of the critters enjoying spring. We have several pairs of Canadian wild geese with young out at the pond again already....They are feeding among our ducks and chickens as usual. I guess they know where safety abounds!
Pretty Lilac bush we got yesterday....
The beautiful heliotropes we got, which we will plant a little later on....well after frost scare time.....
