For a month or so, the entire world prepares for the day of Christmas...and in a mere 24 hours it's all over and done! Family comes and goes...some stay some can't wait to leave....friends pop in and out...and the day is enjoyed as we celebrate the real reason for the season.
Now the time left will be used to visit with friends and family... exchange gifts, return items and coast toward to the New Year in less than week. Vick and I made our delivery runs yesterday in the afternoon, which we were doggy sitting our friend Linda's Golden Retriever, Winston. He rode along with us to the four places we delivered noodle pudding and other delights. Winston is a ride-along doggie, going everywhere with Linda, but since he is so relaxed and enjoys staying with us and the other five dogs here at the Cluckin' "A" Critter Farm, Linda chose to leave him with us as she visited her Mom in New Jersey for Christmas day. Winston is always welcome here, because he fits right in with the other dogs and when staying over night, he simply sleeps beside the bed with all the other dogs and goes everywhere we go...content to ride and sleep in the car.
Linda is supposed to come today to help Vick start and possibly finish the tiling of the wall behind the wood burner in the hospice gift shop. While they are doing that, I will build the gable end studs and install the final bit of insulation, then call the town hall to schedule an inspection, then move on to the ceiling installation. When I start the ceiling, I'll call our friend Joe...a cancer survivor who is interested in helping to finish up the building, and with him being a carpenter; his help will be well appreciated since I can't work on ladders with my bad knees anymore.

I guess I should get with the program.... going to the rear shed first and getting the power shovel and the actual snow shovel and bringing it in to the house so we're ready for the one to two feet of snow they are predicting this afternoon and overnight. Once those items are in here at our disposal...the feed barrels are all full and everything else done, I'll install several snowbirds on the roof of the Alpaca & Sheep door and the gift shop, which will stop snow from sliding off the roof and blocking the doorways as it did last winter, causing me to shovel snow over and over again. Once they are installed, I'll go to the gift shop for the remainder of the day....... I'll take pictures later.....for now, enjoy these from a week ago or so...some show Vick's artwork displayed and for sale in the bank... Linda threading the loom and showing Vick's Christmas present... lights over the island counter and in the entry hallway.

Next, our friend Linda, threading the loom.
Next, two pictures of the three lights over the island counter.
Last, The light in the entry hallway.
