We went to the gift shop this afternoon after Dawna and Linda took off for Ithaca to a sheep shearing seminar. They will be back on Sunday, trained in the art of shearing sheep and taking care of hooves and horns no doubt also. Dawna thought it would be a good thing to learn, considering she has two sheep here that belong to her. We’ve invited Linda to have a sheep of her own too, but she has not accepted yet. Perhaps she is getting ready to take the leap into the Bo Peep position since she went to this weekend event with Dawna too. Dawna has taken care of our Herbie along with Ed and Norton, her two young wethers we got at the same time we got Herbie in Massachusetts last fall. Anyway.... we’re growing and expanding while doing what we love. Soon, we’re hoping to have a Llama and possibly a few more alpacas if our friend is lucky enough to sell their farm and move to Florida.
The walls in the gift shop are looking great! Below are two pictures showing what Vick and I did this afternoon. We will be jumping into it tomorrow again, expecting to finish the entire thing this weekend. Stay tuned for more pictures of our progress and some additional ones of the farm and the animals.
