We just got home a little bit ago from finishing the furnace job. Whew!! I need to re-evaluate these jobs a little better before taking them. Below is a picture of the furnace in the finished condition…..well, as finished as we are gonna make it. There is one more heat run that needs hooked up when they decide how they want to do it, a thermostat that needs installed and hooked up, the main gas pressure checked and set. (I don’t have the Yellow Jacket test kit which costs $75.00) It’s wired to go and the gas is there…… leak tested and all…. But the pressure is not checked.

Do you recognize these little white flying pieces of frozen water? It started around 5:00 PM and was flurrying when we left at 11:30...... and cold!
Before we left this morning, I checked the incubator and found two eggs slightly chipped in a spot, indicating a peep was on the way. When we got home, there were three little guys waiting and a forth started. He will be out by morning, and who knows how many more? We checked the two hens in the barn that are perking a clutch of 15 eggs between them, but none are starting. As soon as I’m sure they do start hatching…..I’ll sneak the ones from the incubator under her too.

You know.... when they just collapse and fall asleep the temperature is correct.

We’re beat, so we’re hitting the hay. See ya all tomorrow.
