Mon. Sept. 27, 2010...Feeling a Bit Better This Morning...Thank Goodness...

Yesterday, I gave it up early... I was up at seven thirty and feeling rotten. After a few slices of toast, I felt a bit better, so I went in and sit on the couch. A short while later, it was obvious that I was going the other way, so I grabbed the horse blanket and covered up. Lynda came around five or so to work on crafts with Vick, so I just stayed on the couch and slept. That was where I was when Vick left to go to Lynda's house around dusk to put her chickens away and that was where I was when they finished putting all our critters away and feeding them. She brought me a bowl of beans and franks with maple syrup, which I ate and then decided I would retire to bed. I was really feeling crappy....
This morning, I feel much better. I'm sore...but much better. I believe it was a severe sinus allergy attack or something. I felt like I rolled down a steep, ten mile high mountain.
Saturday's farmer's market was a real success, as I mentioned before, but I have some pictures of things we saw along the way in northern New York and Vermont on Friday. I forgot they were in the camera, but it didn't matter, because Friday evening was a rat race, preparing everything for Saturday morning...and Saturday afternoon was busy with Vick and Lynda working on Christmas crafts and my finishing up the wiring in the gift shop.
Today, we will go for layer pellet feed for the chickens and possibly...if the rain isn't too hard, I'll remove all the tools from the gift shop, sweep the floor and vacuum with the shop-vac, to remove all the sawdust and leaves from when we built it. We will then be ready for the inspection of the wiring, so we can move on to the insulating and installation of the ceiling boards.
Anyway...here are some pictures of the things we saw on Friday...mostly around Cambridge, New York. The first two pictures are of the little country store in Medusa, New York...a few short miles from home.
