Saturday, October 09, 2010...Farmer's Market...Lunch...Art Opening...Dinner...
Wow, today was a busy, but exciting day to behold. Bill and Loraine, our son and daughter from Long Island were here for their first full day of their visit, which started on Friday evening. We did our usual Vermont and Northern New York trip for product on Friday morning and afternoon, returning to finish Stanley Maltzman's watercolor class at the library. Vick signs up for it every fall. When we returned, Bill and Loraine were at the house, unloaded and relaxing as they awaited our return to start the weekend. They accompanied us at the farmer's market and after selling out of eggs, apples and most of our cheeses, we returned home happy and content. We went to the Freehold House for a scrumptious lunch and then home to relax a bit before heading to Chatham for our friend Kim Lorang's photographic art opening. After viewing her art prints and some of Thomas Teich, we returned home to relax again until it was time to go for dinner.
Tomorrow, we are taking in the 22nd annual Capital Region's Original Apple Festival, in Schodack, New York. We should have some pictures for you when we return.
I was asked by Frances to snap pictures of the sights and beautiful foliage we see in Vermont during our weekly trips. Following are 27 pictures of foliage around Bennington, near the War Memorial Tower, along route 9 between Bennington and Hog Back Mountain, to Williamsville and New Fane to Williams General Store in Dorset, Vermont. Look closely and enjoy!!! Remember too that you can click on each photo and view it in its larger size.
Okay Frances....What do you think?? Beautiful up there isn't it? The one off the top of Hog Back Mountain allows you to see the panoramic 100 mile view! It's located near Wilmington, VT.
