Today we received a phone call from Dave Irwin, the electrical inspector who inspected the wiring in the gift shop. He informed us that we would be receiving a certificate from his firm, "The Inspector, LLC", free of charge ...as a donation to the Columbia-Greene County hospice program. What a wonderful surprise to bestow upon Vick and I, because without their kind gesture and caring donation of the cost for inspection, Vick and I would have had to either pull funds from the hospice fund checkbook, or pay it out of our own pocket. Their kind, caring and generous donation...will surely help us in our quest to get the gift shop open and generating funds for the Hospice program of Columbia & Greene Counties.
The Inspector, LLC will be respectfully added to the supporter's plaque, which will be displayed upon a finished wall inside the gift shop. The name of "The Inspector, LLC", will accompany previous donars such as Jeff Brush Construction, The Door Jamb, Middle field Lumber, Lowe's and any other entities which have helped us to achieve our goal and labor of love, by helping to build this 501(C)(3) Organizational dream, belonging to Vick. She was a home health care, Registered Nurse with the VNA of Central New Jersey for many years and shared hospice patients from the beginning of their illness to their passing...providing comfort and support to patients and their families when their life-limiting illness no longer responded to cure-oriented treatments. Her care, along with hospice care personnel improved the quality of a patient's last days by offering comfort and dignity.
I too am very vigilant toward our gift shop, fund raising goal, as a tribute to my Mother who finally lost her thirty-seven year battle with cancer. It was then that I was intimately introduced to the importance of the hospice program. I cannot imagine withstanding such a traumatic ordeal without the hospice volunteer's presence and understanding.
Again... the generous donation from "The Inspector, LLC" is greatly appreciated and combines within the labor of love we have all undertaken from the beginning.
For all previous donors and ourselves, we say, "Welcome aboard!"
