Wed. July 18th...Will We or Won’t We...Only The Great Mysterious One Knows...

As you know, I’m part American Indian and have been searching and studying my ancestral roots and way of life. In searching, I found that the Indian way of life varied little among all tribes in America. Their thoughts and beliefs about the “mother earth” and “father sky” and “the great mysterious one” all seemed to run hand in hand, so there was little to fear in the way their land, food and water would be cared for and maintained for the future. When the white settlers came, that all changed. Their was want and greed, where things were not used and preserved for the future and men in general....the white settlers did not revere the earth, air or water. The white settlers didn't care about anything except themselves, hating and killing anyone or anthing in their way.....especially the Indian people. The native Indians were pushed and shoved...made to move over and over, from area to area as the white settlers took more and more. Waste and corruption of the white government continued for over 600 years until even today...we are still faced with the same problems.
There are two things going on in the world now. On the one hand, you have dramatic change—people getting very seriously spiritual. A lot of people are dedicating their life now to some spiritual tradition or path. And then on the other hand, you have the lowest side—people killing each other in the cities and being totally uncaring, about others like themselves and all the homeless. You have two polarities. We have people who are changing fast, and then you have a lot of people who never even have a glimpse of the spiritual life. Yes, many people are waking up. But just as many or more are still asleep. It used to be a battle between the young and the old, the so-called generation gap. Now it is a struggle between the conscious and the unconscious. And perhaps, the darkness is afraid of the light. One place where darkness and light polarize is in government, which is a shame since it is supposed to be a source of help and betterment for people. There is a Catch-22 that our society has created for itself. Men who desire power are generally not good men, and good men...generally do not desire power. This makes it difficult to have good leadership. Real democracy like the Indian had, is really impossible in the United States. You know, of course, that much of the United States government was modeled after those “savages.” Where there is greed, you cannot have a democracy...all you can have is greed and strife. But through the last several decades, America has reached a fork in the road, one road leading to a rebirth such as the Indian foresaw, and the other to dire destruction if we do not return to the right relationship with the Earth and one another soon enough. Indian prophets from the 1400’s told of a time when light-skinned people would come to Turtle Island (America). It was said that if they came wearing the face of brotherhood, then there would come a time of wonderful change for generations. They would bring with them new knowledge, and new articles to join with the knowledge of this country. In this way the knowledge could all be joined together to make one mighty nation, and that nation would be joined by two more, so that the four nations would form the mightiest nation of all. We would know this if the light-skinned race came carrying no weapons—if they came bearing only their knowledge and a handshake. But another prophet said, “Beware if the light-skinned race comes wearing the face of death. You must be careful because the face of death and the face of brotherhood look very much alike. If they come carrying a weapon, beware. If they come in suffering, they could fool you. Their hearts may be filled with greed for the riches of this land. If they are indeed your brothers, let them prove it. Do not accept them in total trust. You shall know that the face they wear is the one of death if the rivers run with poison, and fish become unfit to eat. You shall know them by these things.” Well we are all aware of the number of dead lakes, rivers, and poisoned fish we now have. So many lakes and rivers even have warnings posted, telling people not to eat the fish they catch. So, unfortunately, many of the prophecies concerning the coming of the White man and the destruction warned of, has come to pass. Fortunately, there are many people that recognize these mistakes and have begun a renewal. This renewal will signal a pivotal time in history. The Euro-American people will be faced with a choice of one of two paths. One is the continuation of the scientific, technological, and industrial path that has so damaged the Earth and her peoples. The other is the path of spirituality, which respects and nourishes the Earth. One choice will cause the destruction that they have brought to the world to rebound upon them and cause a purification. But if the other way is chosen, “then an eternal fire of peace, love, brotherhood, and sisterhood will exist.” I think we are quickly approaching this fork in the road. There must be a coming together of all the peoples of the world, much like they were all of “one mind,” for “the Creator will not answer until you have just one mind, just like if you have one person... or a consensus among many.” The theme of “One Mind” is one that runs through many Indian cultures. Decisions were often put off if agreement could not be reached, for the very lack of agreement itself showed that the problem was a thorny one that dictated caution and reflection. Indians were not a hurried people as the settlers and whites of today. The Iroquois Nations were wise in looking unto the seventh generation before making a decision. One has only to look at the sorry state of the environment to appreciate the wisdom of the Iroquois. More often than not, the White culture wants decisions now, this minute, without thought or concern for the generations that will follow. This is both self-centered and short-sighted. This is where we are today with government taking, taking, taking and giving nothing in return. We are losing this fight among ourselves, no matter who wins the election in November...
No matter who rules the earth, God rules everything and he WILL purify the world if we don’t...........
