Sunday, August 12, 2012...To Some The End...For Others The Beginning...

It’s Sunday...A day some people regard as the end of the week...to others, the beginning of the new week. To me, it’s the day God rested after all his work of the previous days, so it’s the end. Makes little difference to me for I remember God, Jesus, the Sabbath and keep it holy every day of my life. I am the same Monday through Saturday that I am on Sunday, so days never make a difference to me. Wow the time is flying...We are fast approaching the middle of August, meaning labor day is just around the corner...leading to autumn, my favorite time of the year. Cool days, brisk nights...the crackling of drying leaves as the fall from the trees and rattle in the wind. Oh, how I love those smells only present this time of the year. Ripe apples, pumpkins, beautiful landscapes of crimson and yellows...corn stalks tied to porch posts and “Oktober Fests” all over the place.

For only in the past week did the last bit of winter’s snows melt under foot,
And again only yesterday did the robin red breast call..."It's spring...It's spring",
And just today. The flowers of summer drooped their heads to say goodbye,
For tomorrow the winds of autumn will surely announce that fall has arrived to play,
For soon the breath of old man winter will plunge us all into dark, freezing solace....
Today we are going to install the two windows on both sides of the fireplace. Yesterday after completing the turkey house light and receptacle and cleaning up, we started disassembling the trim around the windows. It became apparent that we needed a metal cutting blade for the reciprocating saw to cut nails to remove the old window. They were finishing nails inserted in a deep groove, leaving no other way but to cut them off between the window and the frame opening.
We will run to GNH Lumber this morning to grab a pair of saw blades right after breakfast, cleaning and boxing eggs, feeding the troops and turning them loose for the day.
More tomorrow.........Enjoy these pix's today...
