Can it be true? When I got up this morning, the pond hadn’t refrozen over-night and they are calling for temperatures above 50° for the next ten days! Can this mean that winter is over and spring is truly here?
I hope so…Vick hopes so…and all our animals hope so too. Though they can’t say it, you can see in their actions that they enjoy the sunny warm weather over the cold. The chickens congregate in sunny areas and lie on their sides with a wing outstretched, sunning themselves. The ducks do what ducks do…swimming, quacking and picking bugs. When it’s cold and nasty, the chickens stay inside, while the ducks lay on the ground with their head under their wings…ALL DAY LONG! It’s been a long hard winter and the animals are as relived that it is over as we are…believe me.
I am working on the fiber combs, building them, modifying them and fine tuning them to be a viable, working tool that everyone will want. When the final product is finished, I’m putting them on our products page on our website and on eBay. Hopefully we can make a little extra cash for the farm. We will also sell them later in the summer from our farm store. Below are some pictures of our present products and some of the farm and animals enjoying the warmth of spring.
