Time Marches On and So Do We…Making Headway…

Yesterday we ran a few errands in the morning and after that, Vick called county dispatch to report that we were going to do a controlled burn of the remaining wood and crap from our tractor shed fire last month. We still have not heard anything from the insurance company about their investigation of the fire. Our previous agent said we had no coverage, yet our new agent (same company) said our premiums were paid continuously…and never once late! Now if we didn’t have coverage on our farm equipment, why would we leave Eastern Mutual and go to the Farm Family Insurance Company for coverage?

Anyway…before I get cranked up and threaten to sue the world again……ENOUGH.

Yesterday, we lit off the pile of rubbish and let it burn until the thunderstorm last evening threatened to put it out. It continued to smolder until it was all gone this morning. There are two large trees to cut up yet, and ashes to bucket out into the woods and we’re then ready to rebuild a run-in-shed to house the tractor, backhoe attachment, post hole digger, metal brake and a closed in area for our winter fuel supply of wood pellets. Here are some pictures of the day’s events.

Today….roughing in the upstairs windows on the barn and maybe changing the doors to open in….. Stay tuned for all our exciting adventures here on the Cluckin’ “A” Critter Farm…
