The seasons are a changing

The seasons are a changing and we are happy to report that we are changing with them this year! Yes…we are completed enough to stop and smell the roses this year. We finished almost all of the needed jobs…the Bilco doors at the basement entrance was just about the very last thing we wanted to do. We might have a small thing or two that pops up from time to time, but the planned and listed jobs have all been done and we are ready for fall and winter this year.
Last evening we returned from Pennsylvania where we visited my Dad who is 86 years of age. Sadly, he is now in a home called The Huntingdon Manor which is actually in the old J.C. Blair Hospital, adjoined to the new hospital, so I don’t have to worry that he is not taken care of and my brother lives only 17 miles from there and can visit several times throughout the week.
We also visited with my son Joe and his family and my daughter Joanne and her family…having dinner at a local restaurant and later visiting until time for bed. We stayed in a beautiful Best Western near the Milroy exit. The rooms were quaint and comfy and we enjoyed a continental breakfast before departing for home. We always make a little stop at some of the Amish and Dutch stores in the area and bring some goodies home. Below are some pictures of where we were and some of the things we saw…..Some of the pictures are from the Bilco door repairs and then there are some of the motel, and things we saw along the way if I had my camera with me. Sometimes it was in the car. There is a neat place we stopped at in Danville, PA…called Cloverleaf Farm. It is a place that sells anything and everything and was built by someone with a vision. The buildings are all tied together as one and there are buildings inside buildings, built so cool with all kinds of different neat architectural variations present.
Today it’s back to the usual with farm work and whatever comes along or with whatever we decide to do. It was a hectic seven days last week and we look forward to slowing down and blogging daily again. Anyway....enjoy the pictures....
